Understood. TIL FF can work without the pulse backend, which might help me get back to alsa without pulse:

It can also be found in "about:config", though I have no clue if FF will keep supporting that for longer (I understood they wouldn't some time back). I'll try out getting back to no pulse on Arch and see how it works. As mentioned, apulse was of no use when FF transitioned its default backend...
But I got pulse is supported. As mentioned, I myself tried avoiding it as well until FF made its move...
