I have not done a lot of installations with Calamares, but it has
general acceptance and seems to work for most people.
The example given was EndeavourOS, but there is one problem: if you
install off-line you have one choice: KDE-Plasma. EndeavourOS does try
to offer ways to have multiple connections to deal with slow
connections to do online installation, but I don't know how well that
works -- and I am generally on slow connections.
So, if there is to be one ISO with Calamares, it does need to offer a
non-graphical basic installation, as can be done with the current Artix
ISOs -- or offer a default to a lightweight DE like XFCE that permits
easy installation of a group of graphical packages, while the DE can be
easily be deleted for those who want a different WM or DE.
Personal note: I was not unhappy with the Artix installation
experience, which went smoothly. I am not sure one needs to concentrate
on a slick installer for a rolling release distro. Sure we change
equipment or help others set up their machines, but it is still
infrequent. That an installer is quick, straightforward and works is
all that's needed.

PS Andrea, I found your message perfectly understandable.
