Hi everyone ,

I'm a big fan of Artix Linux , and I really want to use it as my daily .

I'm a big supporter of features like init freedom and xlibre support.

However, there are some points that are making me to not use Artix as my distro of choiche :

- Not enough support fo (init free) packages : I still have to access to Arch and AUR for packages that supports init freedom , and that are hard to configure with the more advanced inits (such as s6)
As istances , emptty login manager support all the init systems provided by Artix, however, there is no support for it, and do the make install from the sourcecode doesn't works with some inits (such as the s6 init, s6 is not able to start it).
Another example , leftwm supports other inits than systemd (there is a leftwm-nosystemd on the AUR) , but no support from Artix .

- ISO management : I'm really agaist multiple distros with Artix's choices. EndeavourOS offers a great example about ho things should be done in my opinion : a only one Calamares ISO , where you can choose everything , the desktop , the display servers , the init system , the repos enabled (and now that xlibre is on the road, also the xserver implementation , if possible).
This approach would give 100% full control to the user, peritting him to easy perform an installation as minimal as he want

- Arch-dependent distro : this is not as important as the other two points , but in my opinion, if there are enough resources, a increment of developers number is necessary , and the distro should go more indipendent fom Arch.
Having more packages without adding Arch's extra repos and also providing more init-free packages is necessary in my opinion.

Thank you for your attention
