Hi Xavier,

lightdm does not support root-less X:
Note that some populardisplay managers 
<https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Display_manager>do not support 
rootless Xorg (e.g.LightDM 
<https://github.com/canonical/lightdm/issues/18>orXDM 
<https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/XDM>).

I use greetd for this, and there should be more alternatives.
