Hello,
To my surprise, it seems Artix followed Arch on dropping autofs from the official Artix repos. Ohh well... Now it's part of of [universe] repo, which is fine to me. However, I only see the openrc and the 66 init services in [universe]. Are there plans to include other init services as well, in particular autofs-s6?
See:
> % pacman -Ss autofs
> universe/autofs 5.1.7-1 [installed]
> A kernel-based automounter for Linux
> universe/autofs-66 20210504-1 (66-galaxy)
> 66 script for autofs
> universe/autofs-openrc 20210506-1 (openrc-galaxy)
> OpenRC autofs init script
Just in case, it's not part of AUR either, but it'd be much better if part of [universe] any ways...
BTW, on Arch, autofs is not really necessary since systemd offers the same functionality. Is there also providing such functionality on Artix other the gvfs and similar tools (they are quite different than autofs in nature, and more meant for DEs)? As mentioned, I was not expecting Artix would follow on this Arch move...
Greetings !
