From fungilife at protonmail.com Wed Nov 14 10:49:40 2018 From: fungilife at protonmail.com (Fungi4All) Date: Wed, 14 Nov 2018 08:49:40 +0000 Subject: [artix-general] artix-mirrors Message-ID: For nearly a week now when I update my database arch and other mirrors work fine, artix mirrors show 0% change, like there hasn't been any change in a week. Despite of this, and of switching mirrors, I just noticed a pkg coming from gremlins even though yesterday it was not found and today it said there was no change. Is it that my db has been corrupt, something changed in the mirror structure? This is the same across all artix installations I have. The particular pkg today was eth-tools but still the download resulted in errors. So I tried powerpill and even though as far as I could manage to see it was too showing 0 change on artix, but it resulted in 77 pkgs from artix mirrors. The output is so much (powerpill) that I couldn't go back far enough to see what the errors were showing. I am trying -Syy again now just in case I could figure it out myself but any help is appreciated. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Give me some credit here, I have been on artix since day 1, and haven't changed pacman.conf for a long while. I am running gremlins in all installations, except the ones I have made for other people. Switching to mirro1.artixlinux.... and doing an Syy now, in one installation I keep as reference, , resulted in this, which may be able to give you a clue. warning: aalib: local (1.4rc5-13) is newer than world (1.4rc5-12) warning: ca-certificates: local (20181109-1) is newer than system (20180821-1) warning: ca-certificates-mozilla: local (3.40-2) is newer than system (3.40-1) warning: ca-certificates-utils: local (20181109-1) is newer than system (20180821-1) warning: flac: local (1.3.2-2) is newer than world (1.3.2-1) warning: giflib: local (5.1.4-2) is newer than world (5.1.4-1) warning: libasyncns: local (0.8+3+g68cd5af-2) is newer than world (0.8+3+g68cd5af-1) warning: libcaca: local (0.99.beta19-2) is newer than world (0.99.beta19-1) warning: libcanberra: local (0.30+2+gc0620e4-2) is newer than world (0.30+2+gc0620e4-1.1) warning: libcroco: local (0.6.12+4+g9ad7287-2) is newer than world (0.6.12+4+g9ad7287-1) warning: libnotify: local (0.7.7-2) is newer than world (0.7.7-1) warning: libraw1394: local (2.1.2-2) is newer than world (2.1.2-1) warning: libsamplerate: local (0.1.9-2) is newer than world (0.1.9-1) warning: libsndfile: local (1.0.28-2) is newer than world (1.0.28-1) warning: libssh2: local (1.8.0-3) is newer than system (1.8.0-2) warning: libunwind: local (1.2.1-2) is newer than world (1.2.1-1) warning: libxi: local (1.7.9-2) is newer than world (1.7.9-1) warning: libxpm: local (3.5.12-2) is newer than world (3.5.12-1) warning: libxrender: local (0.9.10-2) is newer than world (0.9.10-1) warning: libxtst: local (1.2.3-2) is newer than world (1.2.3-1) warning: libxv: local (1.0.11-2) is newer than world (1.0.11-1) warning: libxvmc: local (1.0.10-2) is newer than world (1.0.10-1) warning: mdadm: local (4.0-2) is newer than system (4.0-1) warning: patch: local (2.7.6-6) is newer than system (2.7.6-3) warning: pixman: local (0.34.0-2) is newer than world (0.34.0-1) warning: popt: local (1.16-10) is newer than system (1.16-9) warning: speex: local (1.2.0-2) is newer than world (1.2.0-1) warning: startup-notification: local (0.12-6) is newer than world (0.12-5) warning: taglib: local (1.11.1-2) is newer than world (1.11.1-1) warning: xorg-xauth: local (1.0.10-2) is newer than world (1.0.10-1) warning: xorg-xrandr: local (1.5.0-2) is newer than world (1.5.0-1) I deduce from this that I am ahead of the mirrors, things appeared in gremlins and never made it to system and world and are not there now.
