I'm having trouble with my ethernet hardware and intel has a new
version of the module that is not in the current kernel source

https://downloadmirror.intel.com/15817/eng/e1000e-3.3.6.tar.gz

The current one keeps reseting

[www3 ~]# modinfo e1000e
filename:
/lib/modules/4.9.67-1-lts/kernel/drivers/net/ethernet/intel/e1000e/e1000e.ko.gz
version: 3.2.6-k
license: GPL
description: Intel(R) PRO/1000 Network Driver
author: Intel Corporation, <linux.nics at intel.com>
srcversion: 65DB28C103308597281BE3A

That is a whole version less than the current one on the intel site.

Is there a pacman way of installing the tar.gz tarball? and is there a
way of keeping it with kernel upgrades?
